Baby Friendly Banana Muffins

Are you wanting an easy recipe for your baby who is starting off on solids? These Baby Friendly Banana Muffins are perfect. They have no added sugar and are super soft for those new eaters.

After they are baked these banana muffins are good for about 3-5 days in an air tight container or you can freeze them for up to 6 weeks. These are a great make ahead option for breakfast or snack for your baby or toddler.

You will need:

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 3/4 flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 3/4 baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp lemon juice
  • sprinkle of salt

Baby friendly banana muffins are a great starter food for a baby starting to transition from purees to solids.

Banana Muffins – Baby Friendly

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas

  • 1 large egg

  • 4 tbsp olive oil (or butter)

  • 3/4 cups flour

  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder

  • 3/4 tsp baking soda

  • 3/4 tsp lemon juice

  • sprinkle of salt

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 350°
  • Mash bananas with fork
  • Whisk together the mashed bananas, oil, and egg until smooth
  • Add in flour, salt and cinnamon powder and mix together
  • Add baking soda and lemon juice and give it a gentle mix until combined
  • Transfer to greased or lined muffin tin – about 1 tbsp scoop
  • Bake in preheated oven for 13-15 minutes until golden brown

Notes

  • These muffins are good for 3-5 days in an air tight container or frozen for 6 weeks
