Disney Date Night

Date Night + Disney? Duh!! They are my favorite kind of date nights! But lets talk about everything that a Disneyland date night entails (at least for me and my guy).

We are fortunate to live about 20/25 minutes away from the parks so doing a Disneyland date night is totally doable, but I do understand that some of you might only have the chance when you are visiting one of the parks.

So when I start planning our date nights I always start with making reservations at the restaurant. We of course have our favorites that we continue to go to but we still like to branch out and try new things. Some of our favorites are Lamplight Lounge and Wine Country Trattoria, they have delish food and have a little bit more of a “romantic” feel to them. As for date night we normally choose a sit down restaurant and typically at Disneyland they take reservations. You can make any dinning reservations on the Disneyland App.

Now lets talk about my date night style + disney style, AHH my favorite! Its a little bit of a mix between romantic and comfy. Just have fun with it!

I also always make it a point for every date night to wear a jewelry piece or two that Rich has given me over the years. I know he loves seeing me wear them and it makes me happy when he notices that I am wearing something he picked out specially for me!

For this date night you can shop my whole look here!

Alright now that we got all the planning out of the way lets talk about what we actually do when we get there shall we?

I am actually going to take you through one of our recent date nights! First we made a reservation at Cafe Orleans. It is a restaurant that neither of us have really tried, I had been there once but I didn’t really eat much so I was excited.

When we arrived we made some fast passes, like we normally do. First ride up was my fav, Haunted Mansion of course! Rich and I like to ride our favorites on date nights, it makes it that much more special.

Next we made fast passes for Star Tours, but since we had to wait a little bit to ride we went across to California Adventure and got some drinks at Lamplight Lounge.

My absolute favorite drink from Lamplight Lounge is the Teaser! You have to give it a try if you go there!

After drinks we hopped back over to Disneyland for a couple of rides before dinner. Star Tours of course but then we went right over to Pirates, always a classic that we love to ride. What could be more romantic than pirates drinking rum and chickens being sold right??

Then we headed over to dinner at Cafe Orleans. I am not going to lie, we had a little bit of trouble with this restaurant. Our experience was not great but that only had to do with how long we waited to be seated. We were finally sat 40 minutes after our reservation time, which we have never experienced.

With that being said we got some delicious food! We started off with of course the Pommes Frites! I mean who can go to eat at Cafe Orleans without ordering these puppies? They are so so good! Pommes Frites are french fries tossed with parmesan, garlic and parsley and come with a Cajun Spice dipping sauce.

I ordered the Shrimp and Grits which is Creole shrimp served atop cheese grits, sausage, a corn relish and shrimp sauce. It was really yummy! Definitely something I would order again.

Rich ordered the Steak and Potatoes, which of course is steak topped with Chimichurri sauce and it comes with potatoes and seasonal veggies. He said the steak was good but his favorite part was the brussels sprouts!

After dinner we did one more quick ride, Hyperspace Mountain of course!! Then we did some walking around the park. Its like a walk on the beach after dinner but like around a significantly more magical place. Main street at night is such a beautiful sight, so magical!

Lastly we did some light shopping and grabbed a little dessert to end the night. We had to check out the new Halloween merch! I, not surprisingly, had to pick up a couple of things.

I hope you enjoyed a little look into our date nights! If you have any questions I am always here to help!

Stay Magical!

xoxo,

Ash
