I am constantly craving Disneyland treats but unfortunately I can’t always go to the parks just to grab them so I thought I should try to recreate my favorite Disneyland treats at home. The first one I decided to tackle were Mickey beignets.

Baking is one of my favorite hobbies and I love mixing my two favorite things; Disney and baking! So my hope is to bring more baking to my blog so I hope you guys enjoy!
Baking from scratch is always a great idea but sometimes I just don’t have the time or energy. So when I find a great mix that can help me skip a few steps and still taste homemade I don’t go with anything else.

One of the best beignet mixes I have found is the Cafe Du Monde mix and you can find it at the Jazz Kitchen Express in Downtown Disney for only $9.99. I do believe that you are able to purchase it at select grocery stores as well as online if you do not live near Disneyland.

Here is what you will need:
- Cafe Du Monde mix
- mixing bowl
- rolling pin
- Mickey cookie cutter
- frying pan
- oil
- spoon strainer
- flour
- powdered sugar
(I have added some links to some of my favorite baking items if you are in need of updating your stuff at home)
Now lets make some Mickey Beignets! If you do use the mix it is super simple. You just need to measure out 2 cups of mix and add in 7 fl. oz. of water and stir until blended.

Next you will need to roll the dough out. Make sure to flour whatever surface you will be rolling on as well as your rolling pin. This dough is super sticky and will stick if you do not flour your rolling surface. You want to roll it out to about 1/8″ thickness.

You will need your Mickey cookie cutter out now. I purchased mine off Amazon and it came with a bunch of different sizes. Here is the link if you want to get the ones I’m using.

The mix instructs you to cut the rolled out dough into about 2 1/4″ squares so I used the cutter closest to that size. Once you cut out your Mickeys you are going to drop them into your oil. You are going to want about and inch or two of oil at 370 degrees. Once dropping in baste continually on each side until puffy and light golden. When both sides are cooked, use your spoon strainer to remove the beignets and place them on a paper towel so that the excess oil can be soaked up.
While hot sprinkle the powdered sugar on your Mickeys! Sprinkle until your heart is content!

Voila! You are done! You now have one of the best Disneyland treats at home!

You might have noticed that I had a little helper while making these treats. Otterbox gifted me this adorable Tiana phone case and I have to say it definitely gave me some major inspiration. She has to be my favorite of the newer princesses! She works so hard and loves to bake. If you want one of your own just click here.
If you do make these treats at home tag me on Instagram so I can see how they came out! I wanna see!
Stay magical!
xoxo,
Ash
